Our SQA team was using a large, complex test management utility previously. With our company transitioning, we have elected to move to more open and less expensive tools. After a review of plug-ins available with Jira (our selected primary system), we selected TestRay (Formerly SynapseRT) in our POC for a variety of reasons: cost-feature-competitive, support of hierarchical test case structuring (suites), more intuitive test planning, API included as part of pricing and, most importantly, great support. We asked for an API addition and within a short time it was released to us and worked as expected. Highly recommend this plug-in.
